How Do I Know If I’m Going Through Perimenopause?
So, you’re curious about perimenopause? Maybe you are starting to experience some symptoms or you’ve been hearing more about it on social media and you are wanting to know if you are going through it. The problem is, there is no definitive test to confirm that you are beginning this transition- so how do you actually know if you are going through perimenopause?
Firstly, let’s outline what perimenopause is. Perimenopause is the transitional period that occurs before ceasing your menstrual bleed for 12 consecutive months (menopause). This transition is where the body starts to shift as eggs within the ovary begin to not be released and hormonal levels start to change. It is during this time many women can start to experience symptoms that can vary greatly for each individual woman.
Typically, perimenopause begins for most women around the mid 40’s but can begin earlier or later depending on you.
